In order to ensure you have the experience of a lifetime in your dance class, you need to be in the class that best meets your needs, both challenging you to meet your highest goals and providing you a realistic path to meet those goals.

Registration begins in November with the incoming Freshman class.

 

In November, the MV Toros Dance Company will speak with incoming 8th grade students about the awesome opportunities available at MV Toros Dance at the Mountain View High School Freshman Info Night, November 17th, and in their dance classes. Registration is due in November, so you still have time to request dance classes be added to your schedule!

 

November through January: The Mountain View High Counselors will start the registration process with High School students.​

Dance Registration: 

 

Beginning Dance - ANYONE can register for Beginning Dance! No signatures needed, but space is limited! Register today!. 

 

Intermediate Dance - For Intermediate Dance, anyone who has already taken a Beginning Dance class at MVHS is able to register for Intermediate. If you have not taken a dance class at MV but have taken dance elsewhere, you may sign up for this class and may be asked to audition. 

 

Advanced Dance - Advanced Dance is for experienced dancers looking to learn the basics of choreography and advance their technical abilities in jazz, ballet, modern, musical theatre, hip hop, and lyrical/contemporary styles. Dancers at this level are responsible for choreography and performance in the dance concert as well as regular technical rehearsals. For registration, you may sign up for this class, but will need to attend level auditions in December or January.

Dance Composition and Performance and Elevate Dance Company - "Production" and Elevate are audition only classes, and must be signed off on the registration form. Classes will open for enrollment in 2026-2027! Dancers will learn to experience life through the lens of a choreographer and tell their story through movement as well as deeply analyze choreography for purpose and theme. 

 

When you register for the class, bring the form to Mrs. Carson or Mrs. Kanaly to sign off on before turning it in, or you may not get the space in the class you want! REMEMBER: Even if you get the signature on the registration page and are registered for the class, you must still attend the level auditions to keep the class on your schedule. Be ready!
