Performance Team Audition and Workshop Schedule
(Elevate Dance Company and MV Ignite Crew Audition Schedule)
Auditions and Workshops for the 2026-2027 school year are coming up! You will learn combinations across the floor and in center for your audition. If you wish to be on the MV Toros Dance Company, you will need to attend the Company Auditions - check the link below. Dancers will be expected to dress so the judges may best see your movement, and will be scored on presentation as well as technical and performance skills. Professional dress includes form-fitting dance attire, all hair clean off of neck and shoulders and away from face, and dance footwear or barefoot.
Saturday, April 18, 2026- 8:00 - 10:00 Am
WORKSHOP DAY - DANCE ROOM:
Dancers will learn: chainé/piqué, battement, pirouette, leap, and stag leap combinations across the floor for the auditions, as well as two combinations (Jazz/Hip Hop and Lyrical/Contemporary) for performance at the Wednesday auditions. All auditioning students for any level should attend at least one Workshop day.
Tuesday, April 28, 2026 - 4:30 - 6:30 pm

Wednesday, May 6, 2026 - 1:30 - 4:30 pm
AUDITION DAY (EVERYONE & OFF CAMPUS SOLOISTS)
1:30 pm, registration begins. Dancers will warm up and review the across the floor combos and choreography on their own. 1:40 Auditions begin - Dancers will audition the pieces and across the floor in groups of 4. Off Campus Soloists will audition their solo with their group audition. Hip Hop Crew results and Elevate call backs will be posted in the Audition ParentSquare App by 8pm.
Thursday, May 7, 2026 - 3:30 - 5:30 pm
COMPANY AND CAPTAIN SOLO AUDITION DAY (ON CAMPUS)
3:15pm, registration begins. Dancers will warm up and review combos on their own. Solos will be invited to perform and dancers will be asked to dance the combos from the previous day in several small groups. Elevate results will be posted in the Audition ParentSquare App by 8pm.
Dancers will have the opportunity to work with MVHS Counseling department to ensure their schedule has the correct dance class listed and that any Teams or Pathway model is adjusted.
ELEVATE DANCE COMPANY AND IGNITE CREW HAVE
REQUIRED REHEARSALS IN JUNE AND JULY.
If you cannot make this commitment, another level class
may be more appropriate for your dance needs.

Please read through the Captain Tryout Packet completely by May 1st.

All auditioning members of the Company and Crew attend auditions to vote.

Each auditioning member will have the opportunity to define what a captain looks
like to them and teach a combo..

Auditioning Captains will wear a designated "Captain" tag at the auditions each day along with your number.
Dancers auditioning for Captain must attend all workshops.
